POROSTY (formerly Mchy i porosty) is Bartosz Zaskórski’s outlet for distorted beats, goth synths, bizarre samples and screamed vocals drowned in reverb.
Zaskórski has released on Smashing Tape Records, Not Not Fun, Syntetyk, Recognition Records, Pointless Geometry and Brutaż. Porosty’s music has been featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, Jagoda Czarnowska's animated movie (Annecy Festival 2024), and promoted a collection by acclaimed fashion designer Magda Butrym. Zaskórski has been making music under various aliases for 16 years, having started with a queer harsh noise project ANNNA. Porosty has performed at the Unsound festival, the Griessmuehle club in Berlin and many venues in Poland, live gigs with the black metal band Gruzja, Zamilska, the Polish post-punk scene, among others. Zaskórski is also a visual artist and comic book author, collaborating with the Italian publishing house Hollow Press. For two years Zaskórski volunteered in a dog shelter (thus a lot of Porosty's lyrics are about stray dogs)
